The Evening Snapshot, Sunday, March 29

‘It was just on my heart’

Like all of us, Becky Turk of Clarklake has felt the darkness and fear of the times. Becky wanted to do something to fight back, so she and her husband, Dave, created a sign and posted it in their front yard at Clarklake.

It was a small gesture, but it seemed important.

“It was just on my heart,” said Becky. The message, written on a plastic tablecloth and backed with cardboard, tells motorists on N. Lake Road to ‘Trust in God’, with ‘Phil. 4:6’ written underneath.

That passage of scripture from Philippians says “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” NIV

In other words, don’t be afraid. Be thankful. Pray. Trust in God.

We would like to add to stay home as much as possible, and wash your hands often, as well.

Happy Sunday evening, neighbors.

Stay safe.
