CP Federal Credit Union CEO Chrissy Siders dressed up as an elf for the company open house to celebrate their new location in Brooklyn.

CP Federal Credit Union is movin’ on up.
The business, which was located in the strip mall behind Big Boy, moved into a new branch office at 131 South Main Street in Brooklyn, directly north of Borek Jennings Funeral Home.
Besides being much more visible, the new office offers its members an entirely new experience. “The drive-thru, drive-up ATM, bigger teller lines, and sitting waiting areas offer more convenience for our members,” said Chrissy Siders, CEO of CP Federal Credit Union.
The holiday season was the perfect time to open the new location. The financial institution is offering specials for new members to help plan their financial future going into the New Year. “We have added incentives for new members, so just stop in and we’ll be happy to tell you about all of our programs, from opening a checking account to planning for a home or auto loan,” said Siders.
Cindy Hubbell, President/CEO of the Brooklyn-Irish Hills Chamber of Commerce said “The Holiday Open House was a fantastic way to showcase this branch, especially the Giving Tree, where the donations went toward one of our important charities, the Brooklyn Community Chest.”
CP Federal Credit Union plays an active role in the community, and is always looking for new ways to partner with organizations.
For instance, credit union officials have a strong relationship with local school systems. “We operate student-run credit unions in the middle and high schools, where we teach financial literacy. This is focused around good habits for saving, spending, and sharing,” Siders said. “We’re connected from the younger-aged students all the way through their older years.”
Officials are hoping to give even more. “We are interested in forming new relationships. Simply contact Senior Vice President of Marketing/Chief Culture Officer Sarah Ermatinger to discuss any non-profit giving through the CP Gives Program for building up our community,” Siders said.
Hubbell said the chamber is “really excited to see CP Federal Credit Union in this new location. They are very community oriented, and we love having them as chamber members.”

In November of this year, CP Federal Credit Union received the Michigan 2018 Top Workplaces Award. With branches currently serving in Jackson, Mason, Parma, Grass Lake, Brooklyn, and soon to be in Saline, the award was given by The Detroit Free Press.
The award was earned solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey.
